About the Role

The Lukens Company (TLC) is an award-winning full-service marketing agency that is seeking an Account Manager/Executive to join our Nonprofit Practice. Staffed by awesome people looking to make a difference in the world, the Nonprofit Practice innovatively uses digital, data, and technology to support the fundraising and marketing efforts of nonprofits, cultural institutions, advocacy groups, and faith-based organizations.

The Account Manager/Executive will be responsible for assisting with strategy development and managing multichannel direct response campaigns for nonprofits and membership organizations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing a deep understanding of your clients' organizations and structures, including staying abreast of their products, services, news, and changes

  • Attending client meetings and establishing strong relationships with assigned accounts

  • Consulting with clients about specific campaign requirements and objectives while working with the Account Director to develop and execute strategies in pursuit of achieving program goals

  • Keeping internal and external teams up to date on the progress and results of your campaigns

  • Facilitating communications across various internal departments to ensure that deadlines are met and campaigns are executed successfully

  • Proactively managing campaign schedules and project deadlines

  • Overseeing campaign package strategy, development, and execution, including art, imagery, proofs, data counts and dumps, setups, insertions, and inventory

  • Reviewing and analyzing results to guide client recommendations

  • Monitoring and communicating proper billing procedures

  • Assisting with the team's administrative tasks as needed

What We'd Like to See

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, advertising, fundraising, or project management (fundraising background is preferred but not required, and experience working with nonprofits, cultural institutions, or faith-based organizations is a strong bonus)

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain goodwill with clients

  • Effective communication skills, giving you the ability to present information, respond, and follow up on questions and inquiries from clients and managers with clarity

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, especially for industry-related documents (e.g., strategy proposals, creative briefs, results memos, etc.)

  • Self-starter with a demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects, prioritize a variety of tasks, and think on your feet to meet ever-changing needs and deadlines

  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with quick turnarounds

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team

  • Adept at problem solving and resolving conflicts

  • Results-oriented and team-first attitude

  • Inclination to learn and grow professionally
