Marketing Associate

About the Role

The Lukens Company (TLC) is an award-winning full-service marketing agency that is seeking a Marketing Associate to join our Marketing Department in our Arlington, VA office.

The Marketing Associate will play a key role in helping to position TLC as a thought leader and increase the company’s overall awareness. This position will involve strategically creating, managing, and analyzing multichannel marketing campaigns to increase lead generations and sales.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Using HubSpot to manage marketing contacts, content, and campaigns

  • Developing and overseeing contact database lists

  • Collaborating with departments across the company to create content, promote thought leadership, and develop inbound leads

  • Creating and managing blog and case studies calendar

  • Updating blog and case study posts and analyzing interactions

  • Creating and distributing email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, blogs, case studies, breaking news updates, and event invitations

  • Analyzing delivery statistics for open rates, CTR, and landing page visits

  • Updating, listening, responding, and carrying out best practices for digital media platforms (currently Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube)

  • Developing and executing social media strategy, KPIs, and content based on sales objectives and TLC's overall marketing strategy

  • Driving and managing paid media strategy and budget to increase conversions and generate awareness with our target audiences

  • Researching and analyzing new digital and social media trends to monitor the online competitive landscape

  • Training sales employees on marketing techniques to build their online presence

  • Managing TLC's websites and partner with vendors to maintain and update website functionality

  • Creating, auditing, developing, and optimizing website content for search engine optimization

  • Performing ongoing research for keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization and implementing content, linking, and website architecture recommendations for organic SEO and PPC success

  • Tracking, reporting, and analyzing web traffic and optimizing pages accordingly

  • Contributing to the production of marketing collateral, RFPs, and presentations

  • Assisting with managing TLC's inboxes and responding accordingly to vendor solicitations and emails

  • Conducting general industry research as necessary

  • Providing additional marketing support as needed (e.g., writing, events, etc.)

What We'd Like to See

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2-4 years of experience in executing social media campaigns and strategies across multiple platforms (coding experience is a bonus)

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain goodwill with employees

  • Excellent communication and writing skills

  • Self-starter with a demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects, prioritize a variety of tasks, and think on your feet to meet needs and deadlines

  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

  • Adept at working cross-functionally, problem solving, resolving conflicts, and suggesting ways to improve processes

  • In-depth understanding of HubSpot, particularly its email marketing, social media, automation, and CRM functions

  • Proven website analytics experience

  • Working knowledge of SEO, PPC, HTML, and website management systems

  • Track record of increasing social media followers

  • Experience in creating compelling content to expand social media footprint, including using tools such as Canva and Animoto

  • Proficient in the use of Adobe and MS Office software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Ability to learn new technology systems quickly

  • Results-oriented and team-first attitude
