Data Analyst II

About the Role

The Lukens Company (TLC) is an award-winning full-service marketing agency that is seeking a Data Analyst II to join our Marketing Department in our Arlington, VA office.

The Data Analyst II will play a key role in the creation of analytical reports, dashboard design and maintenance of our data warehouse. They will work closely with Account Service, Clients, and the rest of the Analytics Team to generate actionable reporting and insights to help our clients fulfil their missions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing client data inputs, data standardization and updates to client reporting

  • Writing complex SQL queries to generate automated reporting

  • Following and expanding standard processes to create accurate reports

  • Collaborating with TLC account teams and strategists to explain and expand report

  • Managing projects from internal stakeholders including scoping from non-technical stakeholders and gathering documentation from previous projections

  • Creating custom reporting using SQL, Python, Excel and SiSense BI

  • Contributing to the advancement of reporting and visualization

  • Contributing to new product creation and enhancement

  • Following and expanding data governance documentation

  • Troubleshooting client data issues

  • Performing list queries for TLC owned list properties

  • Running attribution models on client transactions

  • Supporting and generating budget and forecast process

  • Creating and updating database schemas

  • Other job duties as assigned by management

What We'd Like to See

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer programming or related field preferred

  • 3 years of direct marketing experience

  • 5 years analytics experience

  • 3 years Python programming experience

  • Strong attention to detail skills, time management skills, and ability to multi-task

  • Knowledge of SQL preferred

  • Working knowledge of MYSQL server administration

  • Experience working with Business Intelligence software

  • Understanding of how non profit CRM’s work such as Raisers’ Edge, and Salesforce

  • Strong quantitative skills, including an Expert level of fluency with Microsoft Excel

  • Strong attention to detail skills, work independently, time management skills, and ability to multi-task

  • Ability to problem solve and suggest ways to improve processes

  • Ability to learn and work in new platforms

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
